About the tour

In this tour you will learn about the ori­gin and devel­op­ment of the rum pro­duc­tion in Cuba. The tour includes:

• Vis­it to the Rum Muse­um.
• Tast­ing of the Havana Club Rum.
• Cock­tail-mak­ing lessons (you will learn how to pre­pare your own Cuban cocktail)
• A vis­it to the most famous bars of the old town: the Floridi­ta and the Bode­gui­ta del Medio.

Museum of Rum (Havana Club)

Near San Fran­sis­co Square, the Muse­um of Rum is housed in an old 18^th cen­tu­ry man­sion where vis­i­tors can see the dis­till­ing process of the famous Havana Club Rum (fer­men­ta­tion, fil­ter­ing, aging and blend­ing) includ­ing the grow­ing of the sug­ar cane.

El Floridita

The famous bar where the Daiquiri was born! Ernest Hem­ing­way used to vis­it often the Cra­dle of the Daiquiri. His bronze stat­ue stands in the place he used to sit to enjoy his drinks. In 1953 Floridi­ta bar was con­sid­ered one of the sev­en most famous bars in the world!

La Bodeguita del Medio

This famous bar and restau­rant is cred­it­ed with per­fect­ing Cuba’s nation­al drink, the moji­to, and was once fre­quent­ed by tal­ent­ed writ­ers such as Ale­jo Car­pen­tier, Nico­las Guillen and Ernest Hemingway.

Ambos Mundos Hotel

Among its attrac­tions are the Plaza de Armas Restau­rant and the Roof Gar­den, locat­ed on the top floor, where there is one of the best views of Old Havana. The room where Ernest Hem­ing­way stayed dur­ing the 1930’s is kept as a small museum
